Part Time SEO Manager

Overview

The SEO Manager oversees and activates day-to-day client strategy and on-going SEO programs to ensure maximum return on investment.  SEO Managers work with limited direction and are responsible for the strategy and production of search engine optimization services, which will require deep integration with the client, agency partners, and internal teams.
Should be familiar with digital marketing tactics, Google Search Console, AdWords, etc.
Responsibilities Include: 
  • Performing keyword research and developing on-page optimizations (metadata, keyword usage, internal linking, etc.)
  • Develop insights to inform reporting, recommendations and go forward strategy to maximize results for our clients
  • Responding to SEO questions and inquiries via written deliverables, email, or phone
  • Pitching new content ideas based on relevance to the client and backed by search demand
  • Ensuring SEO best practices are applied within marketing and development team activities
  • Conducting technical audits and troubleshooting of client websites
  • QA’ing implemented optimizations to ensure completion and accuracy compared to original ask
  • Working closely with the SEM team to drive best practices, develop scalable keyword pages used by SEO & SEM
  • Communicating SEO strategy and development of project timelines and progress to key internal stakeholders and the client
  • Identifying new opportunities and recommendations for improving client’s organic search rankings, traffic, and conversions
  • Conducting competitive analysis; researches, summarizes and reports results to clients and team members
  • Creating reports on monthly/quarterly SEO analytics such as keyword rankings, SEO traffic, and conversion data to demonstrate the progress and value of SEO to the client
Specific Skills Required: 
  • 3+ years direct work related experience in search engine optimization role, with a heavy focus on local search
  • Able to plan, organize and manage tasks within multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to collaborate across all levels, in teams and with individuals
  • Familiar with copy optimization (Title Tags & META Description, H1, editing body copy), keyword research, and modern on-site optimization principles
  • Desire to pitch new ideas and go beyond the status quo
  • Understands the concepts around collaborating with a paid search team
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with an ability to draw conclusions, determine strategies and take appropriate actions
  • Strong proficiency of SEO applications, tools, and web analytics packages
  • Intermediate knowledge of website development and structure
  • Intermediate understanding of web design and UX best practices.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and remains flexible in times of change
  • Experience working with popular SEO tools
  • Individual must be a high-energy professional and able to manage deadlines
  • In-depth knowledge of concepts and trends in emerging media and the ability to translate this into actionable recommendations.
  • Agency or consultancy experience is a plus
Compensation Package:
Hourly rate, based on experience.
